NOX

Finally i have some time to post something on the Blog but also, i can design and do some research without stressing out. Last week we had 3 deadline in one week so we barely had time to live, but today I'm working hard as usual and researching and i found this D-Tower By NOX which i find so intriguing, it is an interactive architecture. It is not just there to look pretty but its serves a cute function. The structure, with it ,includes a questionnaire based on the 4 Emotions, Love, Hate, Happiness, and Fear. The four emotions are represented by 4 colours , Green, Red, Blue and Yellow. Which are the colour that will eliminate the structure. Each night the computer concludes the results of the questionnaire of how the persons felt that day the most and the D-Tower lights up to the colour corresponding that emotion. I find this so interesting and innovative and it also has a lot to do with the fact that , every architecture we look at give us some sort of feeling. So this tower includes both the beauty of architecture and the feeling it gives.

Umbrella holder

Even though its true sometimes Facebook is a waste of time, though you can discover a lot of interesting stuff. Although its not always fun looking at your friends photo's of when they went abroad or did something fun, because you realise you are still home in your beloved country :P. Though i found a photo of a simple but really useful design taken in Japan from a Friend (Lucky him) and i manged to get this photo for you to watch. It an umbrella holder but not just a holder, it is made to absorb the water of the umbrella when its a rainy day, and you have it dry and ready to use again. I find it really functional especially in winter, don't know if i would but it for home at its looks more for public use, but if it had a nice homier design i would like to have it for my home. Though i think it is a must have for public restaurants and shops.

Desgn

Design is a Fast World, You have to create something new, Solve Problems. Solving problems which we never thought even excised. Everything around us is designed, they keyboard I'm writing with , the monitor I'm looking at, the seat I'm sitting on. Honestly i never before though about it, before i started studying design. I started to care about everything more, especially when i designed something myself. I have a bond with my designs because i built them an created them so i want nothing else to harm them. I believe every other designer feels the same way. We watched the movie Objectified at school and there were some good points which made me thinking about the crazy worlds of design.
